Catch the vision for serving in missions June 4 - 15!
You will kick off your experience with orientation and a tour of our different areas of ministry. Each year additional initiatives and upgrades are incorporated, and both returning and new visitors get to experience an up-close look at the growth that has occurred. You will be hosted by our managers at each location and get to hear some of their stories along the way.
What We'll Be Doing
Our trip spans a total of 11 enriching days, inclusive of two travel days that bookend our adventure. Within these days, we have dedicated 4 days to engaging in impactful service outreach activities. Where you will be actively involved in the service initiative of your choice, ranging from assisting at the clinic, collaborating with the maintenance crew, or participating in special projects with the children at the Shalom Home. Additionally, we've allocated 2 days for carefully planned excursions that encompass sightseeing, shopping, and the opportunity to experience Salvadorian culture.
On Sunday, a spiritually enriching morning church service awaits us, setting a reflective tone for the day. As the sun sets, we will come together with the Shalom Home children to partake in an evening of fun, fostering connections and creating lasting memories.
To ensure a seamless experience, we will maintain open channels of communication with all travelers, providing frequent updates as we fine-tune our itinerary. This way, you can approach this journey well-prepared and fully informed, ready to embrace each moment to the fullest.
Travel Details & Costs
All travelers must comply with international travel restrictions and with the operational requirements mandated by Harvesting In Spanish.
The trip cost will include the ground costs of $595 PLUS the cost of your airline ticket. You are responsible for booking your own ticket, however we will give you flight options to choose from so that everyone can arrive together around the same time. Any flights scheduled outside of the recommended options could result in additional ground costs, and you will need to coordinate your arrival and departure in El Salvador with Harvesting In Spanish to join the rest of the team.
Your initial deposit secures your initial reservation for a specific trip, but the reservation must be maintained by meeting the funding deadlines we will provide to you in communications following your registration. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your reservation. The costs of the trips include lodging, meals, supplies, ground transportation, administrative fees and excursions. Due to cost and exchange rate adjustments, any remaining funds will go toward general support of the mission. All donations towards your trip's cost are non-refundable, tax-deductible donations to Harvesting In Spanish to the full extent allowed by law.
Completing the Interest Form below does not guarantee automatic acceptance for participation in the trip. As part of our commitment to safeguarding our children, staff, and mission, we retain the discretion to decline participation. Once you've submitted the form, we will promptly contact you to guide you through the next steps. The trip is limited to 20 volunteers.
